Monday’s are usually my mom’s day with the kids. She lives about 20 minutes away, so we normally plan on getting together for a fun day out and about. I have lived here my entire life, and have never been to or seen this place we went to today. It’s called Windmill Farms, and how flippin’ cute is it? It’s off right off the freeway on a little corner filled with beautiful flowers, succulents, animals and the cutest little shop you’d ever did see! I kinda fell in love…

Ava woke up early for school, and when the hubby picked her up he had said she was a sweat machine with a dirt mustache and all. So, needless to say, we we’re pretty close to meltdown mode at this point. I caught her staring off into space a few times, until I brought her back to planet Earth. She was a tired girl, but she absolutely loves animals and I knew once my mom had mentioned they had just had baby goats that there was no way I was getting out of this one. I’m glad we went though. The horrible fog bank that has been lingering around finally broke off and as soon as we got there we were able to endure some golden rays. We wandered around the farm, checked out the nursery and the shop. We sampled some organic body butters, and Ava fell in love with every little ceramic chick in there. I really wanted one of those mini pies, but I refused.

They offer local fresh and organic produce, jams and eggs. A thumbs up in my book. These are the little things that make me happy. Places like this in my hometown. I’m pretty darn lucky if I do say so myself!
