Clik here to view.I can’t believe it’s July, and I REALLY can’t believe that I’ve had a baby nine months ago. How in the world does life just pass you by? It really blows my mind sometimes.
On a little note from our weekend, it was heated. To say the least. We never have actual “summers.” It normally doesn’t get any warmer than 75-80, which is bliss. However, it reached as high as 102 on Saturday, and we we’re melting. Just a liiiiittle bit. Tyler had to help a friend tear down a 100 year old barn in the heat, and where they live is out in the country which gets a few degrees warmer. I think he might have died a little bit. Us folks here aren’t used to any weather like that. It’s extremely rare if you live in a house that has air conditioning. There’s just absolutely no reason for it, but man there were times this weekend where I was standing in front of our little living room fan praying it would just miraculously turn into one. However, I must admit that when the sun went down and we we’re able to stay outside in 75 degree weather was pretty great.

Clik here to view.We BBQ’d a bunch of deliciousness, enjoyed the company of friends and let the kids run wild. My hubs made bison burgers on the Q. First time I’ve ever had bison, and I believe I’ve made the decision that I’m a fan. Sorry to disappoint you, but you won’t find any vegan/vegetarian recipes over here. I’ve tried being them all and converting my family, but we can’t deny that we’re carnivores. We can never deny a really big, juicy piece of tri-tip, some salsa and beans! Mmm!

Clik here to view.Oh, and we were also able to get away for a little night on the town Friday. I was tired and ready for bed by 10:30, but it was exciting to get out with Tyler and have some fun. We went to concerts at the plaza where they have live bands, food and local breweries, buuuut of course we went on the day they decided to do trance music. So not us. We sat there and witnessed lots of sweaty, half naked people dancing with glow sticks. And, yep… we were the ones in the corner looking awkward. It was at least entertaining!
