Ahhhh, Hawaii…. Ahhhh our honeymoon… Ahhh that husband of mine. I can sit and look at these pictures every single day just so I can be reminded about how amazing that time together was.
This year we will have been married for three years. Our honeymoon didn’t come until almost a year after we were married. We saved, and then splurged during that week together. It was romantic, and fun, and so very beautiful.
Hawaii holds a special place in my heart. There is just something about the sweet smell of plumerias in the air as soon as you step off the plane. The way the warm wind blows through your sea salty hair, and the crystal clear waters. The way everyone you come across is on “hawaiian time,” and no rushing is necessary. How mai thais are a must with every meal (I remember Tyler and I still being on California time and walking down to the bar at 6am wondering why it wasn’t open). Oops!
I bug him to take me back at least once a week, and I’m sure by now he’s really, really sick of it. He did promise me however, that when we got rich one day (wink wink) that he would buy me my own house on Kauai, just so I can go visit whenever I wanted. Hey, a girl can dream right?!
